This particular paint color, Silver Birch Metallic, is extremely difficult to locate in sufficient quantity. Can anyone help me? I want to get some so I can experiment with my pushbars and fender guards’ paint appearance.
The plan: I want to take the rubber bits off (or mask them off) of my push bumpers and fender guards, and do a straight rattle-can application of the silver birch metallic onto them. Then do a clear coat. I don’t care if it eventually chips off or flakes off because of bad adhesion, the main goal is to get a feel for how it looks and to decide if I want it as a permanent appearance or not.
Though technically I could just get a block and some medium grit sandpaper and just scuff the pushbars/fender guards for better paint adhesion.
Can anyone help me source the correct paint, please?

Love how the car looks, man. I like the idea of blending in the pushbars, most people have the urge to point them out even more.

I used a can of Duplicolor Silver Birch Metallic to touch up a repair on the Galaxie pretty recently. It was in stock at my local O’Reilly.

You can always have a body/paint supply shop (the ones that primarily sell to body shops, not consumers) mix up some paint into a rattle can for you. They’ll probably charge you around $20/can, but they should be able to mix up any color you have the code for or match to a sample.
